Please click 'more' to see my election address as it will be published in 'BN' magazine in June.
It's not too late to join and vote!
I may be known to many of you already, after serving several years on
the EC and bringing, I believe, a modicum of benefit to the
organisation. For others, I live in London, earn my bread as an
accountant and enjoy my naturism at home, on beaches and on holiday in
France.
Whilst Treasurer from 93 to 98 I ensured our
finances were properly managed. When your last Vice-President during 2002/04, I illustrated, challenged and sought to
rectify corporate governance failures threatening our very
existence. I wish to continue making positive contributions,
dealing with strategic and tactical issues of our international
responsibilities, relationships and involvements.
As a distinctly pro-change person, I will develop and increase the
already substantial volume of site and travel knowledge within our
membership, making the information fully available, to enhance the
naturist experience. Making long continental journeys each year,
I appreciate many ways in which our enjoyment can be increased.
I want to extend the holiday advice service into the population at
large, especially those illusory "two million naturists" allegedly
delighting in nudity but ignoring CCBN. This change to our
approach may also introduce extra members, profitably extending our
acceptance and influence to advantage.
The INF presents a worldwide opportunity for co-operation to facilitate
even greater travel choices, yet the full potential remains
unaddressed. I want to change this too. With our influence,
the international body may aspire to improve the recognition and
functioning of naturism, no longer remaining just a talking shop with
little real worth.
On the EC, my professional expertise would support like-minded others,
drive hard for sound management and encourage growth on a sensible and
sustainable basis. CCBN can do little and go nowhere unless it
conforms to the accepted principles of good business conduct.
The chance to effect deep and lasting progress in many facets of our
activities is offered to you. Do not be satisfied with yet more
of the same; this year vote for change every which way you can. I
urge you to vote for new ideas, attitudes and people; to vote for me.
